York Photos

So it's been nearly 11 months since I made my way back to York from Thailand. The rest of the family joined a couple of months later. Why York? Well, we are not fans of big cities, but needed somewhere big enough to have jobs and good schools. I went to university here 30 years ago, still have friends here, and back in the summer of 2018 we spent a week in Yorkshire as part of a month-long holiday from Thailand. We all liked York, we loved the Yorkshire Dales and it was while staying a few nights in a cottage in the dales that we started to think seriously about moving from Thailand. And now it's 2020 and things worked out. We like York, I got a good job, our kids are studying at school / college and we feel settled albeit in a rented house (our house in Phuket is for sale). During the time we've been here there have been plenty of trips into town, sometimes just for a walk. So here are a few York photos to get this Yorkshire Blog started!
